Gordon Tsujimoto Thaysen
Working between black and white and color, I explore my subjects through a personal visual language in which parts of the image are monochrome while others retain their color. This interplay creates a gentle tension and contrast that heightens the sensory quality of the image, while maintaining a visual calm that allows the viewer to pause, breathe, and listen.
Rather than dramatic scenes, I am drawn to atmosphere, rhythm, and the quiet dialogue between light, form, and space. The subtle grey tonalities allow the works to interact softly with architectural space, often sitting naturally alongside matte surfaces and muted interiors.
Thank you for taking the time to explore my work.
